A Foundation for Change
November 1 2010
"The world’s economic recession has given way to a new ethos of commitment by both private enterprise and organizations to “turn social responsibility into social action.” Gone are the days when they wrote a check to show their obligation as good corporate citizens. The demand for social action is coming from employees, clients, stockholders and investors to be more proactive in helping solve the world’s problems." - Foundation for Social Change website
The Foundation for Social Change - founded by 85 Broads member Louise Guido - is dedicated to educating businesses that social innovation – social action programs – can benefit both their bottom line and address critical social issues.
The Foundation's mission is to demonstrate how social action outperforms traditional corporate responsibility to deliver triple bottom line returns:
1. Social.
2. Environmental.
3. Financial.
The Foundation provides a ‘road map’ and ‘toolkit’ for how companies can implement a social action strategy as part of their core business.
Join the ‘ecosystem’ of change agents dedicated to making a positive impact on the world on November 18 - 19 at the Global Conference for Social Change: Turning Social Responsibility Into Social Action - a conference for senior decision makers, presented in partnership with the United Nations.
