Henry Alford’s post in the recent Sunday Styles Section of The New York Times (“Is Anyone There?") on responsiveness, alienation and courtesy in the digital age, does remind me of the homeroom/attendance-taking scene in the classic “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”.
Who doesn’t feel like Bueller’s high school economics teacher every time they send an email?
