I arrived at MetLife yesterday morning for a networking career development presentation with Elena Kaspi - and to our complete amusement not only had we'd both dressed in the "New Yorker" uniform of black, we both pretty much wore the same outfit, down to the shoes.

Quite the first impression for the legal department at MetLife. Two tall enthusiastic brunettes in leopard print.

Still laughing over the moment, I read Seth Godin's "When a stranger reads your blog" this morning. First impressions. A moment, a slice, an instant in time that sears the image, magnifies the impression, stamps your fate.

As Seth says: "Every interaction might be the whole thing."
