My Pitch Was Caught - Writing for Forbes Woman

July 19 2010

Last Friday, I sent Kelly Hoey an email to pitch an idea for an article that I wanted to write for Forbes Woman. This morning, my pitch was caught.

Ever since I started researching business and graduate schools two years ago, I've had an interest in learning about how these programs are recruiting female applicants. There is great deal to learn from businesses worldwide that have successfully implemented marketing strategies to pitch their products to women. I believe that the education industry could learn from these success stories, and built strategies to change the outlook for female MBA students.

My piece will focus on talking with professional contacts and conducting research to uncover what b-schools can do to better recruit women applicants. It will be an interesting endeavor to find out how programs are currently recruiting women, and what improvements can be made to increase that steadily growing percentage of women enrolling in graduate school.

I'd like to thank 85 Broads for working with Forbes Woman to offer this opportunity to our members. This is the strongest global network of professional women, and I'm honored and proud to be a part of it.

Wish me luck! :)
