Do you need Pie

October 20 2011

Do you ever feel like you do it all... again and again... every day? Do you ever have me time?

Research in Women and Leadership has shown a 42% decrease in work/life balance.  I like to call this the lack of pie.  That's right - pie - and make mine chocolate.  So what does this mean:

Every day you wake up with a whole pie... and during the day many take or we give slices away.  We can also grab a few slices as well, to help replenish what has been taken.  So tomorrow when you get up - take your "pie", split it in half with the mind set - work gets this half and home life gets the other half.  From there during the day - weigh out if you should give pie to others or grab a slice for your self.

Examples of grabbing slices are; exercise, lunch with friends, laughing, singing, dancing, hugging your children or loved ones, a phone call to someone who is upbeat, ect.

Examples of pie being taken; stress, chatting with those who are negative, taking on too much work - beyond your scope, agreeing to be there for everyone, house cleaning, excessive eating (you have to burn those calories off) ect.

At the end of the day - how much pie do you have left?

Hmmmm makes you hungry

Let me know what you think!
