Quick note on this Monday, August 15.

Cannot believe it. After months of planning, here we are during the last day of eLife training for the instructors in Barranquilla. We've reviewed the lesson plans and now we're going through the materials needed for the next 8 weeks of programming.

A lot has been accomplished!  The instructors are as enthusiastic as we are about the eLife program, so we've even determined the way...

One of the other exciting things about our eLife initiative in Columbia is that it brings together:

 - The Foundation for Social Change (which created the eLife curriculum)

 - Fundacion Pies Descalzos (which built and operates the public school in Barranquilla where eLife is being implemented as an after-school program)

- SAP 

SAP is visionary in funding this social impact venture - eLife, life and business skills training for girls in Colombia...

A quick update on today's train the trainer session (read my first blog on the eLife initiative and why I'm in Barranquilla, Columbia here).

It's really energizing to be part of these training sessions and to see the enthusiasm for the eLife curriculum.  The eLife instructors are getting really creative and coming up with own ideas for training.  Lots of fun.

I've just been reading 85 Broads member Natalie Holder-Winfield's recent column in The Huffington Post http://www.huffingtonpost.com/natalie-holderwinfield/the-case-against-corporat_b_701715.html#. As someone I know well, I can feel her passion, exasperation and annoyance in the line:
