It’s that time in December, midway through the month and close enough to New Year's, when I start to reflect back over the year. 

 

I’m often asked how I stay so positive through such uncertainty of starting and growing a business. I usually fumble through the answer because the truth is, I just do! There is really no big secret. Being positive and happy is a choice and we all have the ability to immerse ourselves in both.

On the very first day of the Jewish New Year, my divorce became final.  I consider that symbolic.  And a major accomplishment, considering it’s been 3 years since I’d started the legal process toward this new beginning.

In a University of Colorado college physics course, there was a persistent gender gap. The girls got worse test scores than the boys, and ended up with lower grades in the class. The teachers had tried various things to remedy the problem - extra tutorials, etc. – but none worked.
