MAJOR MILESTONES OR TURNING POINTS:

Creating RUN FOR HER which was my Master’s thesis. When my mom was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, I learned there is no test to detect the disease and very little awareness about it so I wanted to create an event that would raise money and awareness while at the same time I could honor my mom for being the tremendous hero and person she was.

I created a marketing and operations plan for a 5k run/walk and pitched the concept to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and to my grateful surprise, they decided to partner with me to produce the event. In just 4 years we have raised over $2 million for the Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institute. RUN FOR HER has allowed me to meet some of the most incredible people in my life. These people have shown me strength like I have never witnessed before, shown me how to live life, how to treat others, that there is no better medicine than friends and family, and that there is so much to be grateful for each and every day. And most of all, it was something I got to share with my mom for the first 3 years and something I will share with her forever in my heart.
