Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is the world’s leading breast cancer advocacy organization. In 1982, our founder, Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker, promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which has invested more than $1.3 billion in groundbreaking research and to serving women and men in communities worldwide.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure® has invested more than $1.3 billion in research and community programs since its inception in 1982. It operates the largest series of 5k walks/runs for charity, with more than 1.5 million participants in Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® events worldwide.
